Obituary for Vera Jean Cosner
Vera Jean Cosner, age 76, of Herod, Iliinois passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on July 3, 1943 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Randell and Virginia Conkle Banks. Jean was married to Jim Cosner of Herod, Illinois and retired as Post Mistress at the Herod Post Office.
Surviving are her husband, Jim Cosner of Herod, Illinois. Sisters, Garnetta and husband Gene Harrison of Herod, Illinois and Sharon Wood of Herod, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Brother, Randall DeNeen Banks and sister, Lucille Cogdill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday, August 2, 2019 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Illinois with Rev. Barry Bascom officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Cemetery in Herod, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
