Obituary for Michael Wayne Workman
Michael Wayne Workman 66 of Harrisburg p;assed away Monday July 3, 2017 in the VA Medical Center in Marion. He was born October 23, 1950 in Taylorville, IL the son of Robert and Mary Alice Barnes Workman. He was married to Mary Ellen Reynolds Workman and she survives. Wayne sold Toms Peanuts for Williams Co. and was a type setter for Plater Printing for many years. He was an Army Veteran, a member of Smarts Chapel Church, Harrisburg Town and Country Lions Club and the George Hart Post 167 American Legion of Harrisburg.
Surviving Wayne is his wife Mary Ellen, his mother Mary Workman of Harrisburg, 2 daughters, Stephanie Workman and Dawna Workman of Harrisburg. 1 brother Rev. Robert Workman of Harrisburg. 4 sisters, Vicki Haney, Becky Milligan Alexander and Phyllis Parish of Harrisburg and Mary K. Webb of Evansville, IN. 3 grandchildren, Damian, Shane & Amber Workman.
He was preced in death by his father, a son Michael Wayne Workman, Jr, 1 brother David Workman and 3 sisters, Marsha, Brenda and Dawna Workman.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 7, 2017 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Workman and Rev. Charles Fox officiating with burial to follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado. Friends may call from 6 to 8 Thursday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
