She was married to Jim Underwood and he preceded her in death. Laverne was a member of the Oasis Church on Liberty Road.
She is survived by a son Mike Underwood of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim and 1 sister Fern Ewell and 4 brothers Alfred, Elbert, Henry and Freeman Tison
Funeral services will be private. The J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
