Obituary for Marjorie Sturm
Marjorie Sturm 104 of Harrisburg passed away 2:25 AM Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born to Oscar and Elsie Rawlinson Rice in Crossville, IL on April 25, 1913. She married Cyril E. Sturm on July 19, 1931. She was a faithful member of the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church and Zoar United Church of Christ in Evansville, IN. Marjorie lived and worked for over 50 years before moving to Harrisburg. She attended church regularly as long as she was able. She led Bible Study in her home for other members and frieds until her loss of sight prevented her. She loved to walk and bother her flower and vegetable garden filled her with great satisfaction.
She is survived by her sons, Cyril E. Sturm Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Alan D. Sturm of Port Arthur, Texas and one daughter Rosalie (Phil) Rushing of Harrisburg. 5 grandchildren: Lee (Penny) Sturm, Nathan Sturm, James (Leslie) Sturm, Tim (Margaret) Sturm and Jennifer (Michale) Maher and 8 great grandchildren.
The family is extremely grateful to Becky Alvey, Barbara Malone, Joyce Malone and Dr. Matthew Winkleman for the loving care provided to Marjorie by them.
