Obituary for June L. Russell
June L. Russell, age 81, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 20, 1941 in Elizabethtown, Illinois to Gilbert Daniel and Celia Virginia Colbert Milligan. She married Billy Joe Russell in 1956 and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2006. June dearly loved her family and had a passion for Karaoke, gospel music and shopping.
Surviving are her sons, Daniel Eugene Russell of Schaumburg, Illinois and David Clinton and wife Cheryl Ann Russell of Zion, Illinois. Daughters, Teressa Lynn Mounsey of Chicago, Illinois and DeAnn Mitchele Russell of Harrisburg, Illinois. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband Billy Joe Russell. Brothers, Jerry Milligan who passed in 2021 and Gary Milligan who passed in 2006. Sisters, Loretta Poundstone who passed in 1991 and Laverne Michaels who passed in 2004. Three grandchildren, Russell Mounsey, Johnathan Russell and Kyle Russell.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Elmwood Cemetery in Equality, Illinois with Bro. Dewayne Taylor officiating. All that may wish to attend services should meet at Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
