Obituary for Dora Newton
Dora Newton, age 89, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, Illinois. She was born on May 9, 1930 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Henry and Dora Stone Killman. Dora was a member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church for 75 Years and married to Raymond Newton who preceded her in death on August 1, 2009.
Surviving are her son; Steve Newton of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter; Amy and husband Rod Wallace of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister; Ruby Wilson of Harrisburg, Illinois. 2 grandchildren; Chris and wife LaShonna and Sarah and husband Tyler Scott. 5 great grandchildren; Cayden Wallace, Kinsey Wallace, Colton Wallace, Blakely Scott, Jordan Scott and several nieces and nephews.
Dora was preceded in death by both her parents, husband; Raymond, sisters; Lillian Webb, Fern Humm, and twin sister Flora Johnson and brother; Waldo Killman.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Illinois with Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P. M. Sunday at the Dorrisville Baptist Church. Arrangements have been made by J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
