Obituary for Rachel Henshaw Shewmake
Rachel Shewmake 94 of Harrisburg passed away 3 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Shawnee Rose Care Center. She was born July 11, 1921 in Harrisburg, the daughter of William and Othella Talley Babb. She was married to Arthur Henshaw and he preceded her in death and later to Norman Shewmake and he preceded her in death also. She was a member of the Harrisburg American Legion Ladies Auxillary and she was a member of the Harrisburg Assembly of God Church. Surviving are 4 grandchildren, Penny Lane, Kenneth Henshaw, Brandon Henshaw and Heather Carey and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands and 3 children, William Henshaw, Charles Henshaw and J. B. Henshaw and 1 sister Lucille Henshaw. Graveside services will precede burial 2 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Kathy Barker officiating. Those attending should come directly to the cemetery. The J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
