Obituary for Michael James Demik
Michael James Demik, age 51, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born on July 17, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert A. and Anita L. Ostergren Demik.
Michael was an avid lover of all things cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed mopar, car shows, and restoring a variety of cars and motorcycles over the years, his favorite being his 71 ‘Cuda. Michael was multifaceted and had many talents and hobbies ranging from blacksmithing and woodworking to Genealogy and a passion for his Danish heritage, which was very important to him. He was proud to work as a Border Patrol Agent and be a USBP Honor Guard Pipes member where he proudly plaid the Highland bagpipes in honor of law enforcement personnel. Michael lived his life in honor of his twin brother, Todd Demik who preceded him in death in January of 2007. In his final months, Michael was truly at peace with his many cherished memories to comfort him.
Surviving are his daughter, Samantha Singer of Harrisburg, Illinois. Brother, Thor Demik of Chicago, Illinois and five beloved companions, Honey, Daphne, Lola, Aella and Winnie.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and brother, Todd Demik.
