Obituary for Warren Esco Stricklin
Warren Esco Stricklin 68 of Harrisburg passed away 10:12 AM Friday, July 30, 2021 at his residence. Spook, as he was known by most was born September 25, 1952 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Charles “Big Boy” and Mary Childress Stricklin. He was married to the former Nancy Mattingly who survives. He was a member of Little Chapel Church, Harrisburg Lodge #325 AF & AM, Ainad Shrine and was a former member of the Town & Country Lions Club.
Spook attended and graduated High School in Pontiac, Michagan before moving back to Harrisburg with his family. For 25 years he worked for Jim Hayes Ford as service manager and finishing as their customer relations person. He worked for over 30 years as a funeral assistant at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home. He owned Harrisburg Monument Co. Spook was community minded, loved people and will be missed by his coffee drinking friends. He loved anything that had Harley Davidson on it.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, step daughter Brittany Brown of Harrisburg, 4 grandchildren, Brett Schnicker, Mackenzie, Jackson and Logan Cluck. Niece Julia Ogelsby of Harrisburg and close friend Tiffanie Templin of Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Brenda Stricklin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Steed and Rev. Brent Duncan officiating and burial to follow at Sunset Garden Cemetery. Friends may call at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
