Obituary for Teddy Russell Hicks
Teddy Russell Hicks, age 79 of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born January 29, 1942 in Eichorn, Illinois to Russell Wayne and Beulah Mae Sheldon Hicks. Teddy proudly served in the United States Marines. He married Martha Carol Shadrick on August 20, 1966 and she survives.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Hicks, of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter, Sharon Hicks, of Marion, Illinois. Brothers, Buel Deneen “Pee Wee” Hicks, of Harrisburg, Illinois and Lyndol Hicks of Eichorn, Illinois. Sisters, Joy Wilson, of Eddyville, Illinois and Opal Gibbs, of Alton, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Brother, Randall Hicks. Sisters, Betty Bishop and Gertrude Davidson.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. All that may wish to attend services should meet at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
