Obituary for Shirley Jean Dillon
Shirley Jean Dillon, age 74, of Creal Springs, Illinois passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 18, 1948 in Creal Springs, Illinois to Paul and Helen Campbell Colbroth. She attended the Apostolic House of Worship in Marion, Illinois. Shirley married Ronnie E. Dillon and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2010.
Surviving are her sons, Chris and wife Terressa Evetts of Goreville, Illinois, Destry Evetts of Creal Springs and Kevin and wife Robin Dillon of Mesa, Arizona. Daughters, Angela Evetts of Creal Springs, Tina and husband Chris Melia of Marion, Illinois and Kim Evetts of Creal Springs, Illinois. Sisters, Sue Parker of Marion, Illinois, Darlene Heidbaugh of Marion, Illinois, Cathy and husband Jerry Lingle of Marion, Illinois and Vickie Rector of Creal Springs. Fifteen grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband Ronnie E. Dillon. Son, Kenny Dillon. Daughter, Andrea Lott. Brother, Richard Paul Colbroth. Sisters, Judy Choate and Nancy Penniger. Son-in-Laws, Joey Lott and Gary Wright. Aunt, Helen “Auntie” Mahan who raised Shirley.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Apostolic House of Worship Church in Marion, Illinois with Rev. Jerry Lingle and Sister Karen Schierbaun officiating. Burial will follow in Countyline Cemetery in Creal Spriings, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Apostolic House of Worship Church in Marion, Illinois. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
