Robert Lee Slater 74 of Harrisburg passed away 3:10 PM Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born in Vincennes, IN July 21, 1943 the son of Cloise and Mildred Irene Wallace Slater. He Married the former Linda Lou Kreuger and she preceded him in death April 18, 2001. He was a retired Mechanic.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Julie & Mike Stewart and Roberta “Bobbie” Slater both of Harrisburg, 1 brother George Slater of Vincennes, IN, 2 sisters Diane & Dale Field and Mary & Bart Brand both of Florida and 1 sister in law, Peggy Slater of North Carolina, 5 grandchildren Jessica & Bill Stephens, Jacob Stewart and fiancé Bailey Smithpeters, Jordan Stewart and fiancé Joseph Baxter, Jocelyn Stewart and Joshua Stewart and 3 great grandchildren Julia Elizabeth Stephens, Gracie Louise Stephens and William Michael Robert Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda, 3 brothers Larry Wayne and Timothy Slater.
Services for Robert Lee Slater will be private. For those who wish, memorials may be made in his memory to the Linda E. White Hospice House. Envelopes are available at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
