Obituary for Richard Kelley
Richard Kelley, age 74, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, Illinois surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 16, 1950 in Pontiac, Michigan to Delores Cooper and Herman Clayton “Doc” Thompson and adopted and raised by Delphin and Ardith Mae (Utterback) Kelley. He was a member of the Elks BPOE 1068 and worked as an Agriculture Loan Officer for Banterra Bank. Richard married Janice (Mitchell) Kelley of Harrisburg, Illinois and she survives.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Kelley of Harrisburg, Illinois. Biological Parents, Delores Cooper and Herman Clayton “Doc” Thompson. Sons, Jason R. Kelley of Harrisburg, Illinois and Andrew D. and wife Marie Kelley of Evansville, Indiana. Several brothers and sisters. Two grandchildren, Patrick Gunner Kelley and Michael Hunter Kelley and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
