Obituary for Reba Joan Bartimus

Reba Joan Bartimus 84 of Harrisburg passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born December 6, 1931 in Mattoon, IL to Lawrence and Ruby Wooldridge Bosley. She was married to Robert Lee Bartimus in 1950 in Mattoon, IL and he preceded her in death May 7, 1997. Joan was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the 4’Cs food pantry and attending Sunday School and Church as her health would allow.

Joan Spent all of her life loving, supporting and caring for her children. She is survived by 3 sons, Bill Bartimus of Columbia, MO, Darrell & Debbie Bartimus of Watson, IL and Brian & Monica of Harrisburg, 1 daughter Teresa & Mickey Pankey of Eldorado, 3 brothers Don Bosley of St. Charles, MO, Ed Bosley of Decatur and Dave Bosley of Toledo, IL, 2 sisters Emilie Rhine of Garland, TX and Mary Thornton of Neoga, IL. 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2016 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating and burial in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon on Monday, December 5, 2016.
