Obituary for Phyllis Jones Hankins
Phyllis Jones Hankins, age 87, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1933 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Steve and Ida Mae Keniepp Mitchell. Phyllis was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, Illinois and married Harry Jones who preceded her in death on February 15, 1990.
Surviving are her sons, Jeff and wife Melinda Jones of Harrisburg, Illinois and Jim and wife Laura Jones of Marion, Illinois. Daughter, Julie and husband David Hilliard of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister Lela Ewell of Harrisburg, Illinois. Six grandchildren, Natalie Dunk, Miranda Hust, Nelle Minich, Jim Hilliard, Henry Jones, and Emily Jones. Five great grandchildren, Mitchell Dunk, Jack Hust, Henry Dunk, Macie Minich, and Sadie Minich.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband, Harry Jones, brother, Henry Mitchell and sister, Nina Gullett.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Spring Valley Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois with Rev. Tom Logsdon officiating. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
