Obituary for Peggy Joyce Hargrave
Peggy Joyce Hargrave, age 80, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1942 in Harrisburg, Illinois to J.D. Douglas and Mary Gates Alvey. Peggy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She married Claude F. Hargrave and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2012.
Surviving are her son, Richard Hargrave of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter, Angie Underwood of Harrisburg, Illinois. Brothers, Louie Douglas of Harrisburg, Illinois and Stanley Douglas of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sisters, Joann Vinyard of Harrisburg, Illinois and Carolyn Collins of Marion, Kentucky. Four grandchildren, Paige Lewis, Courtney Hish, Lacee Upchurch, and Denessa Wiseman. Seven great grandchildren, Carley Lewis, Keely Upchurch, Cheney Upchurch, Ava Hish, Johannah Hish, Talynn Hish and Walker Hish.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Husband, Claude F. Hargrave. Son-in-law, David Underwood.
