Obituary for Orval Stokich
Orval Stokich, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Eldorado Rehab. He was born on September 5, 1932 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Carl and Eunice Reynolds Stokich. Orval attended Land St. Church of God in Harrisburg, Illinois and worked for the Dairy Brand and Malone & Hyde for many years. He married Shirley Fulkerson Stokich who preceded him in death on August 20, 2000.
Surviving are his son, John and wife Holly Stokich of Galatia, Illinois. Daughter, Patty Seely of Galatia, Illinois. Four grandchildren, Shayne Seely, Patrick Seely, Sarah Oxford, and Tracy Stokich. Two great grandchildren Jocelyn Oxford and Lena Stokich.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and wife, Shirley. Daughter, Jamie Lee Stokich. Brothers, Jim Stokich, Bill Stokich and Carl “Shorty” Stokich. Sisters, Hazel Parkinson and Mary Martin. Grandson, Christopher Seely.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Ledford Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
