Obituary for Melinda Ann Clingman
Melinda Ann Clingman, age 54, transitioned from this life onto the next on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born November 28, 1969 in Harrisburg, Illinois to her surviving parents, Judy (Malone) and Elbert Thompson.
Melinda was married to her beloved husband DB for 23 years, companion of 28. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Most of her days were spent as a daycare provider where she enjoyed making many memories with families through the years. She enjoyed shopping, cooking for her loved ones and eating many delicious meals with friends and family. She spent many years collecting coca cola products and enjoyed finding anything new to add to her collection.
Melinda leaves to mourn; her parents, Judy and Elbert Thompson of Carrier Mills, Illinois. Five children, Merissa Thompson of Harrisburg, Illinois, Joshua Maggio of Chicago, Illinois, Afina Ventura of Witchita Falls, Texas, Tamica Foster of Harrisburg, Illinois, and Jaxton Trigg of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister, Karen (Aaron) Harrelson of Stonefort, Illinois. Three grandsons, Marcel Ventura, Jace Ventura and Cameron Morgan all of Witchita Falls, Texas. Two granddaughters, Harper and Journee Cummins also of Harrisburg, Illinois. Her father and mother-in-law Miriam and Delbert Anderson Clingman. Nephew, Colton Rice and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert “D.B” Clingman. Sister-in-law, Ethel Renae Turner and brother-in-law, Chauncey Lionel Clingman.
A Celebration of Life for Melinda Ann Clingman will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 15, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
