Obituary for Laura Annette Jolly
On January 7, 2022, Laura Annette (Duvall) Jolly gained her wings and went to join the angels in Heaven. She was 62 years old. Laura was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, “Nana”, and friend.
Laura was born on July 11, 1959 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Darlene and Jess Duvall. She was a Carrier Mills High School graduate in the class of 1977. Laura married her high school sweetheart and the true love of her life, Laren Jolly. They went on to have two children together and many adventures throughout the years. Laura’s heart allowed her to retire from Kroger and spend many years traveling the United States with Laren in their motorhome. She attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church in New Burnside. Laura loved to cook, travel, rock in her rocking chair, watch The Golden Girls, decorate for Christmas as that was her favorite holiday, and spend time with her family.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Jess Duvall; step-father, Jim Murphy; father-in-law, Alvie (Jigsaw) Keith; grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
Laura is survived by many who adore her including her husband, Laren Jolly of Carrier Mills; two children, Joe (Jennifer) Jolly of Texas and Samantha (Issac) Craig of Stonefort; five grandchildren, Bryson, Colton, and Kendall Jolly of Texas and Aiden and Ava Craig of Stonefort; mother, Darlene Murphy of Carrier Mills; seven brothers and sisters: Mike (Sandy) Duvall of Kentucky, Janet (Rick) Williams of Vienna, Jesse (Jane) Duvall of Carrier Mills, Karen (Louis) Shaw of Carrier Mills, Jimmy Duvall of Carrier Mills, Bobby Duvall of Marion, and Beth (Brad) Thomason of Carrier Mills; mother-in-law, Cleta Keith of Carrier Mills; brother-in-law, Dion (Kim) Jolly of Carrier Mills; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2022 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, Illinois. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
