Obituary for Kathy Atkinson
Kathy Atkinson, age 70, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born on January 28, 1952 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Glen Schwartz and Doris Wilson Buonamici. Kathy was raised by her grandparents, Floyd and Rita Schwartz who proceeded her in death. She was a member of the Bankston Fork Baptist Church. She was married to Mark Atkinson and he survives.
Surviving are her husband, Mark Atkinson of Harrisburg, Illinois. Son, John Denny of Birmingham, Alabama. Daughter, Stephanie Hustedde of Harrisburg, Illinois. Brother Stan Schwartz of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister, Connie Frambers of St. Louis, Missouri. Four grandchildren, Piper Weaver, Tyler Hustedde, Kaitlyn Hustedde, Whitney Hustedde and several beloved great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Glen Schwartz and Doris Buonamici. Grandparents, Floyd and Rita Schwartz and Arther and Leeta Wilson.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Bankston Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois with Rev. Mark Hudson officiating. All those who wish to attend services should meet out at the Bankston Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
