Obituary for Julius Leroy Hicks
Leroy Hicks, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 surrounded by his children.
He was born April 5, 1933 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Fred and Reva Hicks.
Married Phillis Reynolds on September 27, 1952. They had four children, Dale, Gary, Terri and Darrel.
He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His life was spent in service to the Lord. He pastored seven churches and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Illinois. A private burial will follow at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Macedonia Church. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund.
