Obituary for John T. Gibbs
John T. Gibbs, 41, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and the loving father to Colton Gibbs.
John was born June 4, 1982, in West Frankfort, Illinois to Danny Michael Gibbs and Wilma Carter. He graduated from Harrisburg High School in 2001. After high school, he got his CDL and started truck driving. He eventually bought his own truck and then went to work for Old Dominion Freight Line, where he was currently employed.
Surviving are his mother, Wilma Carter of Golconda, Illinois; a son, Colton Gibbs of Paducah, Kentucky; a brother, Michael D. Gibbs of Stonefort, Illinois; a niece, Savanah Gibbs; a nephew, Kamryn Gibbs, an Uncle, Terry Gibbs of Goreville; step-brother, Wesley Noe of St. Mary Missouri; step-brother Matt Denbow of Carmi Illinois along with many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Michael Gibbs.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory toward an education fund for his son, Colton Gibbs.
