Jannice Sanders, a beacon of love and the epitome of a life well-lived, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, in Eldorado, IL, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering support. Born on July 12, 1953, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA, Jannice's journey was one filled with joy, resilience, and an abundance of love that she freely shared with those around her.
Jannice's life was characterized by her devotion to her family, a devotion that stood as a testament to the values instilled in her by her late parents, Paulus L. and Margaret Martin Blangé. Her love story with her husband, Owen Sanders, Sr., was one for the ages, a partnership that blossomed into a family with their beloved children, Owen Sanders Jr. and Tabitha Smith. Jannice's sister, Peggy Ibos, stood by her side through thick and thin, and while she was preceded in death by her siblings Paulus Blangé, Pauline Brown, and Marie Vidal, the memories they shared continued to light up her life.
Jannice's role as a grandmother was one she cherished with all her heart. Her grandchildren, Michael, Charles, Rikki, Jamison, and Skylar, were the apples of her eye, and she poured into them her wisdom, her laughter, and her unconditional love. Each child was a unique thread in the beautiful tapestry of her life, and she celebrated their individuality and achievements with pride and encouragement.
Her legacy is one of love, a love that did not end with her passing but continues to ripple through the lives of those she touched. Jannice taught us that life's true richness lies in the relationships we nurture and the love we share. She was a reminder that every day is a chance to make a positive impact, to lift someone up, and to celebrate the beauty of life.
Jannice Sanders lived fully, loved deeply, and left this world better than she found it. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit will continue to guide us, like a lighthouse of compassion and strength. We are all better for having known her, and while we will miss her physical presence, the essence of who she was will forever be a part of us.
To those who knew and loved Jannice, let us honor her by living with the same zest for life, kindness, and generosity that she embodied. Let us remember that every day is a gift and an opportunity to create a legacy of love, just as Jannice did. Her journey may have come to an end, but the story of her life will continue to inspire and motivate all who carry her memory in their hearts.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday December 16, 2024 with Rev. Keith Ital officiating. Friends may call after 12:00 PM at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
