Obituary for James Robert " Jim Bob" Burroughs
On the morning of March 27, 2020, James (Jim Bob) Robert Burroughs of Harrisburg passed away at the age of 69.

James was born to James R. Burroughs and Thelma Rae Butler in 1950. He was a retired UMWA mine construction welder and was a life-time member of the Sons of the American Legion, George Hart Post 167. James enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with his beloved family.

James is preceded in death by his parents and sister Darlene Baggott (Bob). He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Debbie Milburn Burroughs and his children, Darrin R. Burroughs, James Rae Burroughs (Jill), both of Harrisburg, Angela S. Williams and Kathy J. Jackson (Johnny) , who reside in Mississippi, a brother, Roger A. Burroughs (Late wife Lisa) and a sister, Beatrice S. Smith (Gary), both from Harrisburg. James will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

James will be fondly remembered by his 11 grandchildren, Jeffery Burroughs, Donna Burroughs, Vanessa Logan Burroughs, Sylvalena Burroughs, James Hatcher Burroughs, James Mendoza, Michael Stuart, Tyler Stuart, Ricky Williams, Alyssa Williams, and Charlie Jackson. He had 10 great-grandchildren.

Due to the recent restrictions put in place by the State of Illinois due to the COVID19 virus, all services will be private. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society donate.cancer.org
