Obituary for Jack E. Wise
Jack E. Wise 89 of Harrisburg passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He was born September 18, 1927 to James M. and Maggie Billman Wise. Hze married the former Norma Jean Clark and she preceded him in death July 4, 1996. Jack was a lifelong farmer. He was a charter member of the Harrisburg Town and Country Lions Club and was past district governor. He was a member of Farm Bureau and several agricultural boards. He was a past member of the Harrisburg school board and for many years served as a board member of the REA.
Surviving are 4 sons, Tim & Linda Wise, Terry Wise and J.C. & Cindy Wise all of Harrisburg and Gene & Stephanie Wise of New Salsbury, IN. 6 grandchildren, Matt Wise, Amanda Jones, Jake Wise, Dylan Wise, Tabbi Wilson and Brian Wilson. 9 great grandchildren, Patti Jo Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Amie Wise, Kallie Wise, Bailey Jones, Noah Jones, Paisley Wise, Aria Wise and Evie Wise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 4 sisters, Gaynell Hilliard, Helen Anderson, Irene Kent and Mary Wise.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Harrisburg 1st United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Luckett and burial in Pierson Cemetery south of Harrisburg. Friends may call after 11 AM Friday at the Harrisburg 1st United Methodist Church. The J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
