Harold D. Pierson, age 98, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on Tuesday May 12, 2020 at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 23, 1921 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Tom and Elsie Johnson Pierson. Harold was married to Martha Jones in 1940 and she preceded him in death. He served in the U S Navy and was a World War II Veteran.
Surviving are his daughter, Shiela Lee of Lake Okeechobee, Florida. 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a niece who cared for him, Gynelle Jones of Harrisburg, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by both his parents. Wife, Martha Jones Pierson. Daughter, Sharon Greco and half sister, Carrie Hunsinger.
Due to recent restrictions put in place by the State of Illinois due to the COVID-19 virus, all services will be private. Arrangements in care of J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
