Obituary for George Michael "Mike" Dudley
George Michael “Mike” Dudley, age 68, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. He was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on September 7, 1954 to George and Jean Hill Dudley. Mike attended Liberty Baptist church and worked for many years as a teacher for the Unit 3 school district. Mike enjoyed watching the Harrisburg football team and would never miss a home game; rain or shine, Mike could be seen in the bleachers cheering on the home team. When he wasn’t in the bleachers, Mike could be found on his recumbent bike that he cherish and road for miles all over Southern Illinois.
Surviving are his sister, Jill Dudley of Rosiclare, Illinois. Niece, Mika and wife Cara Beauchamp of Carterville, Illinois. Nephew, Taylor Reed and significant other Kelly Murphy of Hurst, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, George and Jean Dudley.
