Obituary for Garnetta Harrison

Garnetta Harrison 86 of Herod passed away 8:30 PM Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born November 11, 1939 in Harrisburg the daughter of Randall Banks and Virginia Baker Banks Milligan. She retired from the Post Office in Herod where she had worked for several years. She was married to Gene Harrison on June 5, 1954 and he survives. She was a member of the Rudement Church.

Also surviving her is 1 son, Ronnie (Connie) Harrison of Herod, 3 grandchildren; Cynthia Baker, Brenton Harrison and Mathew Harrison, 4 great grandchildren; Alexis Swablewski, Makenzie Garcia, Maddox Harrison and Tanner Harrison and 2 great-great grandchildren; Kinslee Swablewski and Leela Swablewski. Also surviving is a brother in law Jim Cosner.

She was preceded in death by a brother Randall Banks and 3 sisters, Lucille Cogdill, Jean Cosner and Sharon Wood.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 21, 2026 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg with Rev. Donnie Hughes officiating and burial in Lavender Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
