Obituary for Gail Edward "Eddie" Glass Jr.
Gail Edward “Eddie” Glass Jr. 52, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at his residence. He was born on October 18, 1971 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Gail and Connie (Yother) Glass. Eddie was married to Buffy (Lane) Glass of Harrisburg, Illinois and she survives.
Eddie lived a life full of small adventures. From long walks and beautiful bike rides to endless hiking trips in the surrounding forests. A knack for appreciating the small joys in life such as delicious meals or day spent on the grill. He was not only cunning but crafty too. With treasured memories etched into his walking sticks and a full size camper that he built by hand from the ground up. There was truly nothing Eddie could not do if he only put his mind to it.
Surviving are his wife, Buffy Glass of Harrisburg, Illinois. Son, Cainon Edward Glass of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter, Skilar Leann Glass of Orlando, Florida. Sisters, Kim and husband Mike Abell of Harrisburg, Illinois and Monica and husband John Lind of Harrisburg, Illinois. Mother-In-Law, Rosetta Patton. Several nieces and nephews and many treasured friends.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Gail and Connie Glass.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Pilkington officiating. Burial will follow in Big Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
