Gabrielle "Gabby" LeAnn Henson, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 28, 2024, in Willard, Missouri, at the age of 28. Born on May 10, 1996, in Kokomo, Indiana, Gabby was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.
Gabby's life was a tapestry of close-knit family ties and enduring friendships. She was the beloved daughter of Mike and Tina Atkinson Henson and Rebecca Cleland Asplund. Her radiant spirit will be carried on through her daughters, Makayla and Addi Henson, who were the center of her world. As a sister, she shared an unbreakable bond with Skye Henson, Aiden Henson, Kane & Trista Henson, Austin & Dani Lewis, Tanner Lewis and Raychel & Trent Zumwalt, each of whom will miss her gentle guidance and infectious laughter. Gabby was a cherished granddaughter to Gusta Atkinson, Kimberly Keplinger, and Terry Henson, and she held dear the memories of her late grandparents, Chelsea Atkinson, Harold Cleland, and Michael Henson.
Gabby's educational journey took her to Southeastern Illinois College, where she embraced learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. Her free-spirited nature was evident in her love for writing, a passion that allowed her to express her deepest thoughts and dreams. Gabby found solace and joy in gospel music, which uplifted her spirit and inspired those around her.
Known for her gentle demeanor, Gabby navigated life with grace and kindness. Her compassionate heart and ability to see the best in others made her a cherished confidant and friend. She approached each day with optimism, and her resilience in the face of life's challenges was a testament to her strength of character.
Gabby's legacy is one of love, creativity, and faith. Her unwavering belief in the goodness of people and the beauty of the world around her left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 4, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be after 11:00 AM Monday November 4, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
