Dennis J. Powell, age 43, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones at his residence. He was born on February 23, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois to Dennis Sr. and Ida Barnes. He was married to Kelly Kyler of Harrisburg on December 22, 2009.
Surviving are his wife Kelly of Harrisburg. Sons, DeVonte Kyler of Universal City, Texas, Dennis Powell III of Harrisburg, Illinois and Krishawn Smith of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughters, Ka Trice Kyler of Harrisburg, Illinois and TyAngela Lawler of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister, Kaella Barners of Carbondale, Illinois. Mother-In-Law, Mary Kyler of Chicago, Illinois. Nieces, Kierra Robinson of Carbondale, Illinois and Katera Barners of Carbondale, Illinois. Nephews, Kashmere Barners of Harrisburg, Illinois and Kahmari Terry of Carbondale, Illinois and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Barners and sister, Edwina Jackson.
