Obituary for David L. Fritts
David Leon Fritts, age 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on April 3, 1949 to Willard and Virginia (Yarbrough) Fritts. David was a music and band teacher for 33 years serving several schools in Southern Illinois; He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 1/2 years.
Surviving are his son, Benjamin Fritts of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter, Evelyn and husband Stephen Schaefer of Belleville, Illinois. Brother, Phillip and wife Barbara Fritts of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister, Angela and husband Mike Shiver of Wesley Chapel, Florida and two grandchildren with two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one nephew David Lewis Giroux (Fritts).
Funeral services for David will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
