Obituary for Christie Brown
"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, she became a butterfly".
Flying together, on beautiful new wings, Christie joins her love, John T., and are, at long last, together again. Christina (Christie) Lee Kevish graced the world with her presence on September 20, 1951. Born to Rowena (Roberts) and "Big Andy" Kevish. Christie was known by so many as a caregiver, a devoted friend, a benevolent soul, a woman who was not only known for her beauty but possessed a strength which was admired by all who knew her. She was a source of support, love, laughs, wisdom, and countless memories.
Christie had many blessings which she was so thankful for. Among her greatest blessings were her children: Rick and Karen (Potts) Brown, Kim (Brown) and Kerry Butler, Jeff and Danna (Carter) Brown, Jonathan and Andrea (Youroukos) Brown, and Justin and AJ (Gall) Mugge. Her grandchildren: Mischelle Brown, Erica (Brown) and Ben Clore, Brittney (Taylor) and Dana Anderson, Kreig Taylor, Jordan, Shelby and Carson Brown, and Ava and John T.,II (JT) Brown. Her great-grandchildren: Kylie Horstmann, Aliyah Brown, Phoebe and Annie Clore, Quinton Taylor, and Blakely Anderson. Her sister in law Sondra Bishop, late brother, Bruce Bishop, and their families. Her blessings also included additional family members and her beloved friends. This wonderful life was made possible when she met and later married the love of her life, John T. Brown, on April 21, 1978, together, they had their son, Jonathan, in September of 1979. John T., heartbreakingly, preceded her in death on August 5, 2007.
