Obituary for Charles Shackleford
Charles “Charlie” Shackleford, age 88, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away peacefully Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Carrier Mills Nursing and rehabilitation Center. He was born August 15, 1935 in Qulin, Missouri to Walter and Maggie (Reaves) Shackleford. Charles proudly served in the United States Navy. He married Mary (Ozee) Shackleford of Harrisburg, Illinois and she survives.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Shackleford of Harrisburg, Illinois. Son, Jon Shackleford of Marion, Kentucky. Stepson, Jim Morgan of Ft. Branch. Indiana. Stepdaughter, Cindy Wright of Marshall, Illinois. Sisters, Lillie Ambersome of Kansas City, Missouri and Millie Palazolla of Fenton, Missouri. Seven grandchildren, Aaron Shackleford, Kasey Buckman, Danny Ammon, Jessica Pickens, Sarah Stuhr, Meagan Hoefling, Dustin Morgan and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Sons, Curt Shackleford and Jeff Shackleford. Brother Archie Shackleford and granddaughter, Jonna Shackleford.
Funeral services will be private, arrangements in care of the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Illinois.
