Obituary for Carolyn Armistead Feazel
Carolyn Armistead Feazel age 81, of Harrisburg, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana passed away July 10, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Carolyn was born in Harrisburg on June 27, 1939 to Edith Armistead. She was a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, and graduated from Harrisburg Township High School. She was married to Paul Feazel, and they had one daughter, Paula. For many years, Carolyn owned a beauty shop located in her home. She also worked part time at Harrisburg Hospital. She was keenly interested in genealogy and belonged to the local organization. She and her daughter Paula authored several books related to genealogy and the local history. She often volunteered at the election polls. She was extremely proud of her daughter’s work as a nurse. Carolyn grew up in the Gaskins City Baptist Church and has been a lifelong member. In the later years she moved to live with Paula in Evansville but always thought of Harrisburg as home.

Carolyn is survived by her cousins Martha Armistead Simcox, Matthew Simcox, and Amy LaMar, all of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula, her husband Paul, and her mother, Edith Armistead.

Services for Carolyn will be at Gaskins City Baptist Church on July 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
