Obituary for Amy Kurtek
Amy Kurtek, age 53, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 12, 1971 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Floyd and Judy (Nolen) Vinyard. Amy worked as a manager for the World Finance Company in Harrisburg, Illinois and married Joe Meriweather of Harrisburg, Illinois and he survives.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Meriweather of Harrisburg, Illinois. Daughter, Haley Kurtek (Jonathon Duke) of Harrisburg, Illinois. Step-daughter, Alexis Meriweather of Zanesville, Ohio. Step-son, Avery Meriweather of Zanesville, Ohio. Brother, Steve Vinyard of Harrisburg, Illinois. Sister, Julie and husband Larry Piche of Harrisburg, Illinois. One granddaughter, Summer Siddall and several nieces and nephews. Canine companions Lennon and Eleanor.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Brother, Keith Vinyard. Sister, Lisa Briggs.
Visitation for Amy will be 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Illinois. Graveside services will be private.
Memorials may be made in Amy’s honor to the Friends of Saline County Pet Rescue & Shelter at 1935 Highway 145 S. Harrisburg, Illinois 62946, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
